System Overview

Hostingplex currently houses all of its core system and web servers at the state-of-the-art data center provided by MCI Canada. This decision was made by our management team because of the grade a service provided by MCI Canada. By concentrating on setting up our own servers, instead of the entire data center, we're able to provide one of the best web hosting services possible.

MCI Network

MCI's commitment to the Web hosting business begins with our ability to leverage our extensive and rigorously-engineered WorldCom worldwide IP network. This high capacity, fully meshed network provides maximum redundancy and ensures connectivity from end-to-end. MCI's experienced staff monitors network connections 24x7 to maximize speed, reliability, and customer satisfaction.

Our data centres are directly connected to our state-of-the-art network, which ensures that your systems experience quicker deployment, are fully-redundant, and your data is virtually hacker-proof.

Cisco Powered Network

Hostingplex utilizes a 100% Cisco Powered Network. This means that every server on our network is connected to a Cisco product. Using enterprise-class Cisco networking gear, routers, switches ensure that our network is stable and problem free.

Redundant, Bandwidth on Demand Connectivity

Using a Tier 1 backbone from UUNET, Hostingplex ensures that customers receive the highest degree of security against network downtime and some of the fastest network speeds.

Carrier Class

The MCI facility is a carrier-neutral site and is built completely on computer-grade raised flooring.

Regulated Climate Control

The data center's HVAC system is N+1 redundant. With full particle filtering and humidity control. The environment is maintained at a cool 19 degrees celsius to ensure a comfortable environment for the servers.

Redundant Power

Hostingplex is not reliant upon the local power grid to guarantee maximum uptime. WorldCom has two diesel powered generators to ensure maximum uptime and a centralized UPS system provide. Additionally, the generator is regularly tested to ensure that it will continue to function in the event of an emergency.

Data Center Security

The data center is physically isolated from everyone but level three technicians. Public access is strictly forbidden. Access to the floor the datacenter resides on is restricted and completely locked down. Biometric scanners are in place to ensure that only verified personnel are allowed into the data center. Additionally, there are two security guards on site.
